On a bright and dogful path through a forest that lives only in the past, on the calm breeze of a summer's day came the first words of a conversation that altered several fates, and ultimately lead to the formation of the Katabane collective. Kazis Kripaitis and FR met on that day in August 2015, drank tea, discussed metaphysics, and went their separate ways. A year later, over phone conversations that swelled ever more in length and depth, a pact was formed, to compose Volumes One and Two of the Metaphysikos, and form a collective to empower the culture of humanity's future.
Other projects include the Anabane Reading Group, a theatrical work on Nietzsche, academic articles on Sophocles, a transliteration of the Tao Te Ching, the Papal Palsy Radio Show, and other writing projects soon to be featured on this website.
Katabaino is the first word in Plato's Republic, and it means "to go down". The Katabane Collective seeks to peer down into the gutty-works of our reality, expose long-saught meaty bits, and feast among like-minds in a smoke-side ring of fraternity.
